A cool 45° and a crew of 11 today

We're right back to repairing the trail

Defining the trail
and rebuilding damaged steps

That's Dan making lots of crush

Marion is digging for mineral soil

Making the turn and going uphill

10:30am, time for our safety break

Jim and Marty working on repairing the trail

Howie and Ian making sure this one is level

Crush, crush, crush,
we use lots of crush

The crew is working several locations at the same time

During lunch break,
we are like bumps on a log

A look at some of today's progress

End of day crew meeting and review,
we will be back tomorrow

A dry and slightly warmer Saturday morning,
we have a crew of six today

Next to the parking lot,
Len and Chris repair a trail blaze

Same process, just a different day

Dan digs for mineral soil
at the base of an old fallen tree

After extracting cobble,
we fill in each hole with crush
then cover with mineral soil

Buckets, buckets, buckets, buckets with tools,
buckets with crush, buckets with mineral soil

Further uphill Len and Jeff
are building another drainage device

Dan's drainage device is almost finished

Len's drainage device is nearing completion

The chief is adding another running step

Marty using both hands
to clear loose gravel off the trail

This is what it looks like when cleared

We're getting very close to the end
of this section

This section has been cleared of loose gravel,
the cobble have been removed
and now waiting for mineral soil

Len's drainage device is complete

Looking back at some of today's work

We have discouraged trail braiding,
and defined the path
